Klondike Solitaire Game (or play Klondike Turn Three)

  1. Play solitaire with one card turned for free. No download or registration needed.
  2. The goal is to move all cards to the four foundations on the upper right. Turning and Moving. Click the stock (on the upper left) to turn over cards onto the waste pile. Drag cards to move them between the waste pile, the seven tableau columns (at the bottom), and the four foundations. You can also double-click cards instead of dragging them to a foundation.
  3. The order of cards within the pile changes after playing one of these cards. So be sure to pay attention to the order as you flip through the cards! There are many ways to beat Klondike Solitaire. One way is to expose the face-down cards in the tableau as quickly as possible to maximize your options.

Your goal is to win! You win the game when you move all cards to the foundations (the 4 empty piles in the upper right corner). You must start each foundation with an Ace. Then you can place cards of the same suit in ascending order: Ace, 2, 3, 4, ..., 10, Jack, Queen and King.

Cards are shuffled and 28 are dealt on the tableau (the 7 piles in the bottom of the screen). The remaining 24 cards form the stock (top left) and the game start with one card turned from the stock into the waste pile.

  • The last card of each pile from the tableau can be transferred to the foundation of the same suit, in ascending order.
  • Any visible card from one pile can be moved to another, but in alternate color and descending order: 7 of Hearts, 6 of Clubs, 5 of Diamonds, 4 of Clubs...
  • The top card from the waste can also be played to the tableau piles or foundations.
  • Only a King can be moved to an empty pile.

When all moves are done, you turn one card from the stock to the waste pile before playing it to a foundation or on the tableau if suitable. When the stock is empty, the cards from the waste are reused. You will know when you have lost.

On those early mornings when Jack Frost is at your door and all you want to do is go back to bed, wake your brain up a little with the basic version of Solitaire - One Card Klondike. You will use all four suits in this game, and will work through the tableau by building your stacks in descending order. Cards must be alternating in color, however, or you won't be able to place them on top of each other. Uncovering any Aces early in the game will give you a jump-start on building your foundations! Fill these foundations with ascending cards of the same suit from the tableau, and once all four stacks have their respective King cards, you win! Click on the face-down snowflake card in the top left corner if you get stuck; this will give you one more card to work with. Once you've beat this 'beginner' version of Solitaire, challenge yourself by playing more advanced versions, like Spider Solitaire, Yukon, or Wasp! After all, what else are you going to do for the next few months while you are surrounded by the cold?
